| etc. that have returned to the area quickly. It really amazes me how quickly it has recovered. I remember when it errupted, I was still in high school, but we could see the plume of ash from 35 miles away. What a sight. In another 50 years it will be hard to tell it happened. Amazing how the earth recovers. If you are ever coming this way let me know and I'll take you on a tour of the back roads around the mountain. Great fun in my car, and a sight not to be missed. Photo ops everywhere you look. |
