Hi Evelynn,

Thank you very much for the review. I was able to get to within just a few (4-6)feet of this guy; in fact after, I was thinking maybe I was too close. With my aperature set wide open I was able to blur the background, but the tail feathers were not as sharp as I would have liked them. Cropping was done because I really hadn't centred him well. I had him low and to the left in the frame, so I chopped off a couple of inches on the top and right. The hot spots are something I will work on, on my home copy, but I didn't want to do that here as this site frowns on cloning and other types of more extensive photo manipulation. I might also look at blurring of the background a bit, but I want to keep the shadow.
