just lost everything I wrote on yours... will try again tomorrow...

you are right about the area it is argyll & Bute... the areas are very confused up there and the road boundaries are not what TN uses for some reason... Shall have to move mine over....

I think the orange filter is part way between the red and the yellow... I was playing around with it at work.... I applied the filters using DPP.. when you select B&W it changes a lot of the options and you get the option to apply filter effects... I am using DPP a lot for the RAW to jpeg copnversions at the moment rather then PSPXI becuase I prefer to do the least possible with the jpeg... but that is just me...

The lighter area across the ridge occured naturally for some reason... don't know why, but I choose to leave it there... the layer change is actually at the skyline... rather than a smooth gradient...

Incidently I tried a HDR on this and all of the area in the foreground turned bright green which really surprised me!

Shall have to play, but today has been really murder.... and Stuart has now gone away with work until the weekend when we have guests (subject to this foot and mouth outbreak... it is on 2 neighbouring farms around our home...)

will catch up tomorrow.... waiting for a server to restart (controlling it from home to make life easier, in a thunderstorm as well so will have to get pc turned off, electricity is blipping in and out...)
