Yes I think you did see it in the car. the visibility that day was stunning, but it was the last day. after that is was down hill, the high pressure had passed over and then it clouded over, warmed up and snowed, by which time I was on my way home. I had felt the change and knew I had stayed long enough and should get out whilst I still could.
Sometimes, the air is so stunningly clear it is awe inspiring, and that day was one of them...
