I would like to create a THEME for not so beautifully coloured species of the subfamily Satyrinae. There are more than 2000 species world wide - many or even most of them only poorly known and recognized by specialists. Searching TN for Satyrines has shown that most species presented are of European origin. Species from Africa and tropical America - although very numerous - are nearly completely missing. |
