|This was a combined holiday and photography course starting off on holiday on Loch Rannoch and then moving to the Isle of Skye for the course with Ian Cameron (www.transientlight.co.uk) and then returning to Loch Rannoch for the remaing few days of our holiday.|
For once, a holiday that was planned quite some time in advance. this is unusual for myself and my husband.
We set off to the holiday home on Loch Rannoch (Liarn Farm Cottages) for just under a week there - the weather was what we expected for October and Scotland - though generally it was drier during the day than we could have hoped for.
After 6 days, we moved to the Independant hostel at Flodigarry (Dun Flodigarry Hostel) which is very well worth using for the duration of the photography course that I was attending with a professional landscape photographer, Ian Cameron.
Then thoroughly exhausted and with more photographs that I knew what to do with, we returned to the same holiday cottage for 3 or 4 days before setting out on the journey home.
On the whole the weather was really quite good for the time of year, with some stunning sunrises and sunsets and when it was wet - some rather nice waterfalls.
All in all, it was very well worth it.
