Rousettus aegyptiacus is single species of Megachiroptera in Turkiye. It is a member of the family Pteropodidae. It is known as "Mısır Meyve Yarasası [TR]" or "Egyptian fruit bat [EN].
Many people say that bats without eyes. It is not true. Morever R. aegyptiacus has large eyes. It is different other Turkish and European bats (Microchiroptera) with their second clawed fingers of the wings. Microchiropteran bats have only claw on thumb.
The fruit bats feed on soft fruits, e.g. banana, orange.
It ranges from South Africa to tropical rain forests in Western Africa, Egypt to Cyprus and Turkiye, and also from Yemen to Pakistan.

A very interesting shhot, Ahmet.
It is not often that we see such clear details on a bat, and in such good light.
Great eye contact and good colors on this cute little bat.
Unusual pose and good POV.
TFS. : )

Hello Ahmet,
Very cute little bat. It looks like a young one. Very good exposure using a flash and good details too. Well done. Just make sure not to bother these creatures too much.

Regards,
Shahar.

Dr.cum çok güzel bir meyve yarasası fotoğrafı. Mağara duvarında doğal ortamında çok sevimli durmuş. Ben de aynı türün karanlık arka planda başka bir fotosunu ekledim.

Hello Ahmet!
Great shot of a very interesting species! I saw some European bats before (please check here for details) but this is really amazing! How big is it? I am asking because it looks rather small :)
Very good sharpness, DOF, POV, and details. I like also colouration of this photo and informative note.
Bravo and thank you for showing this picture! It is not easy to take good quality photo in the cave :)
Greetings,
Radomir

Ahmet nice composition and good shot. The color and lights are good. TFS Ganesh

An incredibly detailed shot of this bat, although it doesn't look too happy with your flash.
It looks incredibly small.
Well spotted and thanks for sharing.

Hi ahmet.we dont see a lot of bats on TN. cute little face he has. great shot. very goodcolour and detail. TFs well done.
Nick..

I thought there was rousetta only in Oceania. I was surprised to see some are so close to Europe. Learning everyday on TN.
The pose and the look are brilliant.
(A beter flash with an appropriate diffusor could have enhanced the light).
Is it a young one or do grown-up look like this?
TFS

Ahmet merhaba , fotoğrafını yeni gördüm , çok net ve güzel bir komp. olmuş , ayrıca tür de harika , eline sağlık.

Hi Ahmet,

While looking at Anna's bat image which she dedicated to You, I realized I didn't comment any of Your bat photos yet, although these animals are Your favorites. Shame on me, but I correct myself.

Very cute, big-eyed bat in the cave, photographed with great details and sharpness. I never saw a bat with so huge eyes, really. You should have composed the bat into the other third of the pic, because he's looking out of the photo while there's an empty place behind his back. Otherwise a top notch photography, which I congratulate for. Tfs.

Extra: if interested, please click this link about the bat species living in Hungary: species info, photo gallery etc. You can translate it with the Google Translator.

Friendly regards, László
