[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

Big cats have their own specific way to hunt. We already saw that leopards bring their preys in trees after the kill (see Leopard for more details). Cheetahs proceed in a quite different manner, owing to their musculature, designed for sprint races (up to 80km/h on short distances). However, this musculature is fragile and they have to spare it in order to survive. As a matter of fact, hyenas wander and have the know-how to quickly detect a kill . Their jaws are so powerful that cheetahs know perfectly that they cannot afford being injured and therefore would give away their meal without fighting. Accordingly, they eat as quickly as possible with gluttony and end within less than one hour with the stomach like a rugby ball.

Hello Patrick,
Great presentation. The blood, the eyes and the grass hanging from his mouth are very impressive. You made a wonderful composition out of it. Very sharp and an excellent low POV.
Regards,
Peter

Bonjour Patrick !
Valerie.

Perfect viewpoint with a rare momenbt capturing.

Great use of frame & Compo.

Best Wishes

Hello Patrick,
The moment is great. Never saw a cheetah like this...
Also well composed and a nice presentation.
I don't know whether you'll agree with me or not but the focus is a tad more on the tree than on the facial expression of the cheetah?
Already 22:-)
Greetings

Hi Patrick,
this is a lovely sight. Beautifully somposed and excellent presentation, hiding behind the tree in clarity and sharpness. A very natural pose by the cat.
Pleasant shot.

Foozi

Hi Patrick, superb capture of splendid Leopard with fantastic colors, great portrait with wonderful details and excellent sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

Bonjour Patrick,
