In The Virgin Forest pt. IV. - The Variation

Puff... Yesterday, while uploading part III. of this "In The Virgin Forest" series I wrote about the whole conception. But after one day it changed. :) This is the same specie as on my yesterday's upload, photographed on the same day - but I had to face with the thought those who are not experts in mycology may think Pleurotus pulmonarius is always growing without stem. At least all pics of it which I remember seeing here on TN (not only mine) showed this specie without stem. Yes, it often is missing or insignificant, as I wrote yesterday, but not in each case. That's why I include an extra part into the series: The Variation.

Photo: slight cropping, smart sharpen of the fungi, gaussian blur and desaturation (-12) on the background, slight color correction.

I hope You'll like this photo, too.

Hi Laszlo,
Good picture! shows the magnificent features of the species. I imagine that the fungi are always difficult to classify! ... I congratulate you for setting the facts, give much character to the picture. Very good job.

Hi Laszlo,
this cluster is really magical. so many of them and the natural depiction is very lovely. I like the inclusion of the tree trunk as its gives a good texture and nice perspectives of lines.
Well composed in special way, the forest and the fungi. Well thought and presented in a very authentic view.

regards,
Foozi

Hello Wladyslaw :-)

I like your serie and this part, too. Fungi are often very hard to photograph, especially from distant POV. You captured this cluster very well, with natural colours and excellent details. This is another very good picture from your virgin forest. This must be fantastic place to study all kinds of fungi, plants, animals... As we can see sky was blue during your trips. Unfortunatelly we've got bad weather from few days so it's hard to take new photos.

Hi Laszlo,
This shot is an absolute delight to behold.
The light on these is really good and they look beautiful in the forest enironment.
Very nice work indeed
Cheers & TFS
Steve
