Good morning - it's weekend - I love it ...
We had a sunny and hot week - almost too hot for work - and on time for the weekend the rain is back, I can't belief!!!
I planed to go out to find some nice insects, now again I can make dropshots, haha!

So glad I made some fresh 2010-stots in the last weeks - and here is one of it showing a White-legged Damselfly (Platycnemis pennipes).

It was a little windy that day as you can see at the blowball ...

Enjoy your weekend everybody

Sabine

Ciao Sabine, elegant damselfly on beautiful dendelion, wonderful macro with splendid colors, excellent sharpness and fine details, very well done my friend, have a good week end, ciao Silvio

The colour od the damselfly matches so well with the dry thistle the subject seems to be a part of the whole, Sabine.
The composition is very attractive and those segments of the dry flower detaching themselves from the main body are well captured.
Great image, indeed.
TFS and regards.

Hello Wishnu,
Superb sharpness and excellent composition. Love the tiny winged seeds that are floating down on either side of the dandelion. The detail of the Damselfly and seeding dandelion are super fine. Beautiful coloration and just the right exposure. Great work!!

Hello Sabine,
indeed a very special and exciting composition of the damselfly. The hanging seeds of the dandelion are very dramatic and it adds something exciting to your shot. The fly itself is very sharp and clear, the colour harmonises with the dreid flower.
well presented shot.

regards,
Foozi

I love the action in this photo...that the landing of the damselfly caused the freeing of each seed. Wonderful capture with all elements in perfection. Cheers!
Penny

Liebe Sabine,
Habe von Deinem hoch interessanten Portfolio dieses Bild gewaehlt; Du Hast auch gerne ""stories"", und ich habe folgendes gelesen:

Dandelion parachutes provide more subtle services than a random distribution of seeds.

The plant has a built-in barometer, ensuring that the seeds are released on a dry, warm day, and on a steady rather than a gusting breeze - so that they will be scattered as far as possible.

Like the chutes of paratroops, those of the dandelion are designed to deliver their burdens gently, and in upright stance.

Your photo - with its perfect photographic technique - underlines this story!

It is a true pleasure to view this photo and I add it to my favorites.

Schoenen Sonntag, und ich hoffe Dein Team gewinnt!

Liebe Gruesse von Sued Afrika,
Ingrid

Excellent...Excellent...Excellent... Shot!!!!
What can I say about that...
In my place we call it magic flower and the little kids alway like to blow one of them...
TFS and for one more time give us more.
