[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Was out and about on scooters today and caught this normally nocturnal animal climbing a tree to escape people... but then he climbed back down and seemed interested in us...of course not wanting to take rabies shots...we backed off....but this was with a 200mm lens on a Pentax DSLR. I was already well out of range.

I must admit to knowing little about the nature of a raccoon in the daytime. I sensed that he looked passive but strong and it occurred to me that he could attack... he or she. Not sure and didn't examine.

Hello Bob,
Good to see a new photo.
Very nice photo with the Raccoon in the centre. Good sharpness and DOF. Beautiful natural colours.
The best wishes in the new year,
Peter

wow! when i myself am going to see a Raccoon?! lovely creature. and i liked your note a lot. i always had liked to have a share in the experience behind any shot. that's my way, actually :)
good mood, good framing. only sharpness is a bit low, and exposure high. but i really don't mind that this time.

Hello Bob, nice to see you posting again.
Great to see a Raccoon photo since they are not usually posted. Focus may be a little soft, but still a wonderful shot.
You were wise not to get too close since they are a big carrier of rabies, and they are not usually out in the daytime. He has a cute curious look on his face and he does seem to be in pretty good shape.

Hi Bob,

The tree is helping to frame the raccoon. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the raccoon. The late morning light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre
