|Pleuroptya ruralis (Scopoli, 1763)|
Common name: mother of pearl
Pleuroptya ruralis has a wingspan 26-40 mm. The moth rests with all four wings on display, which show a colourful rainbow-like lustre in certain lighting conditions, as the English name suggests. The larvae feed on Nettle, in a rolled-up leaf. The adults fly from dusk onwards and are often attracted to light.

A real eye catcher with nice detail and beautiful color tones. The soft lighting is quite attractive and I like the diagonal angle of its body pose. Maybe a tad too much open space on the left side, but overall a wonderful shot. Great work!!
The sharpness on the moth is more or less ok (on the right wing at least), as the colors, but the insect's too closed to the edge of the frame, the negative space at the left is too much, the insect looks out of the frame instead of looking into it and the bokeh your camera produced is unpleasant (or the blur tool was used maybe). I'm sorry to say, but this is not a good image in my opinion. You should have pushed the camera to right to compose the moth into the left bottom corner to avoid all the issues mentioned above.
Kind regards from Ireland, László
Quite well captured this Moth if we talk on ts colour and patterns on its wing. But too much BLANK SPACE in the left side. I prefer blurry BG but it looks nice if it is in front of the species as well as BG. You used your focas point just right bottom portion, I think it would have been beautiful one if you could captured it keeping focus point on the heart of the frame or bit left.
Thanks for sharing,
