FIRST TIME ON TN

Another extremely small moth, about 5 mm. , the photo is not of high quality but it is the maximum that I could do with my camera.

Class: Insecta
Order: Lepidoptera
Family: Tortricidae
Genus: Ancylis
Species:A. obtusana

Ancylis obtusana, the small buckthorn roller, is a moth of the family Tortricidae.
This species is present in most of Europe, in the East Palearctic ecozone and in the Near East. These moths inhabit marginal areas of forests where host plants grow.
Ancylis obtusana has a wingspan of about 12 millimetres (0.47 in). Forewings are red brown, with a rounded reddish patch and costa stringulated (finely streaked) with white and brown. The hind wings are brownish. Similar species are Ancylis comptana and Ancylis mitterbacheriana.
The adult moths fly from May to July. Larvae feed on alder buckthorn (Frangula alnus) and buckthorn (Rhamnus cathartica). They overwinter in leaves of these host plants that they spin together.

Hello Luciano,
🎊 🎊 🎊 🎊 🎊 🎊 again for a New Species.
Yes, you are right, quality isn't such good. But not bad either. Here need macro lens.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice weekend,
Srikumar

Hi Luciano,
Probably not your best photo ever, but you deserve full credit for the perfect exposure and the light management. Good sharpness as well. And I'm happy with the colors, too. :-) Congratulations for the new species, thanks for sharing!
Kind regards from Ireland, László

Not your best but a good document on the species.

Bonjour Luciano,

La feuille cadre bien l'insecte. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails du papillon le Petit Rouleau de Nerprun. La lumière met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.
