I'm particularly interested in butterfly life cycles, so I very welcome this nice picture of a tightly attached machaon pupa. Immature stages are in most cases not so pretty as their adults, although sometimes it is vice-versa, but I hope that more of such pictures will be posted to TrekNature.

The composition seem to be a little too cnetered but apart from that it's a great shot. I especially like the BG and colours.

Hi paulo, this is an amazing shot ! I have never seen this before, only caterpillars and adult butterflies, very interesting. Wonderful details and colors, excellent exposure, DOF and BG. Well done, and thanks for sharing !
great shot with nice colours, note and composition!
Great macro with good details!
this swallowtail pupa is surprisingly well hidden in vegetation, and you present it very clear and sharp with all the fine hues of colours of the insect and its background where it seems to disappear. Very impressive document!
With thanks, and best regards,
excelente toma de la crisálida de la maravillosa Papilo macaón, o mariposón limonero como le decimos por esta zona. Los detalles captirados son muy buenos, además me llamó mucho la atención esos hilos blancos que la amarran.
