[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another shot from my friends hide. Although I waited for this Greater Spotted Woodpecker to give me a better view, without luck. However I think the colours show off well. The shot was hand held at 400mm with a 100mm-400mm lens, spot metered at f5.6

Having read some of the critiques I went back to my original RAW file and have tried to embrace some of the suggestions made re cropping and exposure.

Wonderful capture!
I like a lot the POV and the pose of the woodpecker. Sharpness, colors and bg are gorgeous!

Yes, this is much better: the quality of the shot is at least as good as the previous but the composition is now excellent!
