[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Common Redstart male is a splendid bird, much more colourfull than the Black Redstart. Common and Black females are rather similar, although a closer look will reveal much warmer tones in the Common and more orange tinged undertail coverts.

This is a great portrait of this little fellow! We have them here in a small village near by, but I have not been able to get a photo this good! They are a bit shy but I have found that they come close when you play there song for them from a recorder or something..... ;o)

Have a great summer, Tom!

Very nice bird image Tom.
Good sharpness and nice soft green color tones in the BG.
Flash has been a little to harsh imho.
You gould experiment a little with flash unit settings to 1/8 or even 1/16 to get a little softer light.
Best regards, Harry

Hello Tom

I see similarities to our North American Robin.Very well captured with very good plumage detail. The colours look very natural.Nicely composed in the frame.TFS
