To my knowledge they were two places in Africa where lions learnt to climb trees :Seronera area in Tanzania and in the south part of Queen Elisabeth National Park in Uganda, this photo was taken near Ishasha.
But James Parker also mentioned Lake Manyara in Tanzania , so they must be three places for climbing lions.
These two lioness have been eating the all night, they are full, that you can see from their belly !
Trees give them a good observation post and also a safe place for resting

PS : I’m about to leave for Brazil and Peru and won’t be on TN for the all month of June,
I hope to be back in July with some more interesting photos

Thanks for looking at my pictures and also for all your kind comments and smileys

bonjour Albert, bien que les sujets vedette soit assez exceptionel,la photo est d'ecxellente qualité!Je ne sais quoi dire sinon "BRAVO".Tout tout bon travail, merci pour ce partage.

Wish you a great tour of Brazil, Albert.
This image of two lionesses resting on the branch of a tree is the kind of capture on sees in magazines like the National Geographic.
You have shot the image with critical eye for the mood of the moment and it comes through very effectively.
Thanks and take care.
