[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture is dedicated to Peter (Batu) for his very useful and consistant help with the ID of pretty much all the butterfly pictures I have posted, So it seemed only apropiate to dedicate to Peter the only butterfly shot I have an ID for. Thank you Peter for sharing your knowledge it is greatly appreciated.

This Doxocopa cherubina was licking the minerals in the ground, the light was great for getting the brigh metallic blue on the wings.

Thank you for looking

hello Simon
Super sharpness picture
GREAT details
beautiful colours
greeting lou

Hallo Simon
Wragtig pragtig. - In English truly beautiful and a lovely dedication to a fellow member who have lots of knowledge about insects and butterflies and who's input is a value asset to the site. The metallic colours on the wings are truly exquisite, and it looks as if it was dusted with two shades of blue powder. Indeed a lovely display of loveliness that fills the whole frame. The little piece of black shade in the left side bottom corner is a bit distracting but the beauty of the rest of the image cancels out all the distraction that might have been.
Thanks for sharing.
Best regards

Hello Simon,
a first class picture of the species. The dark brown colour nuances as well as the beautiful iridescence
are professionallly presented. Perfect exposure and sharpness!
... and then this nice picture dedicated to me. I'm very delighted.
Thank you and best wishes, Peter
P.S. I plan to visit Costa Rica in 2010!
