Guanacos (Lama guanicoe) grazing on the highlands of Torres del Paine N.P. facing mighty glaciers in Patagonia, Chile. This amazing place, Torres del Paine is a good reminder of how life was prior to modern urbanization remaining a living patch of true wilderness in all its rugged splendour. God knows how many times I toasted to that place ever since I returned from there. Even though there are roads and tourists and even hotels, its easy to escape all that in less than an hour walk and then it hits you, this is the "Jurassic Park" you always wanted to see and you fantasised in the back of your head, where you were walking with exotic animals that roam free in herds: speedy ostriches, gracious red guanacos or pink flamingos, even whirling condors; all that against a backdrop of either spendid green hills doted by red patches of blooming mataguanaco bushes or most rugged and majestic alpine peaks dressed in white capes of thick ice and snow , all that melting into lakes of a hypnotic turcoise blue color... Its useless for one to use any words in trying to describe what eyes and human mind can enjoy in once in a lifetime moments.

All these photos are simply amazing. Extremely exotic landscapes and views. Here it's very good POV and perfect composition. The shot is quite gloomy but I guess it meant to be.
Felicitarile mele!

Lovely shot!
It looks very natural, well, at least for someone who already got used to the patagonian collages ;) I mean that the guanacos seems not to notice you at all.
POV and framing are perfect, photo has good details and superb depth. Lovely note too...
I like it very much :)

This is a beautiful shot showing nature as it is. Soft and friendly and at the same time harsh and unforgiving. You did well here.

Great capture showing this beautiful place,
Excellent composition and nice colours,
Well done and thank you!

I love the weather on the mountains Radu! And, the green valley meadows with the Guanacos grazing below! Quite the beautiful place!
Thanks for sharing,

That sure looks chilly up there, glad they have already put on their warm winterjacket ;-) Great composition with the contrast of the grassy field and the snowy mountains.

Hi Radu,
Amazing shot! I like the low angle you have taken here. The colors and detail look great. A breath taking scene.

Such a peaceful scene, Radu. The contrast between the harsh and cold mountains and the soft and warm grass and guanacos gives this shot an eerie feel that is magnetic to me. Another fantastic capture of your travels. TFS. : )

Hi Radu,
this country is so phantastic, so many extremes, so many snow and the wonderful Lamas.
Thank you very much, you always show us so pretty shots of South-America, I've never been there, so thanks
