Hallo Shir, an excellent and sharp picture of this caterpillar. Both the host plant and the caterpillar make up a colourful presentation.
It is clearly a larva of Hyles euphorbiae. Euphorbiae larva from Greece are similar in appearance to those from Turkey which belong, however, to the subspecies conspicua. Caterpillars from middle Europe look a little bit different (polymorphism). For REFERENCE see: Pittaway A.R. (1993) The Hawkmoths of the Western Palaearctic. - The Natural History Museum, London.

Nice macro - the colours and clarity are wonderful.

I think you're right - it's Hyles euphorbiae. BTW: very good shot, good natural colours. Thanks

Chris

Hello Shir, excellent shot and great composition. Sharpness and colors are perfect, very well done. Best regards, Didier.

Olá.
Muito linda e com muita qualidade. Principalmente a colocação da luz.
Parabéns.

Hello Shir,

the presence is beautiful, too!

Very well taken caterpillar of Hyles euphorbiae on its feeding plant. Excellent colours, well focussed details, and a well chosen point of view that has made sharp image possible that covers the whole caterpillar. The composition with the reddish leaves of the plant looks very good and exciting, too.

A slight noise on BG may be the result of sharpening filter applied on the whole image. Selective noise reduction on BG by means of magic wand or lasso selection tool would add to final perfection.

Very good and conspicuous contribution. Thank you!
Best regards,
Peter

What a nice macro for this lovely caterpillar ! I like very much its shape and colors. Good POV and DOF.
Congratulation Shir and thanks for sharing.

Shir, love everything about the picture except for the blurred leaves on the foreground, They give me the impression that they are going to poke me in the eye.
Great job here,

Enrique
