Carduelis cannabina (Acanthis cannabina) (L., 1758) – Ketenkuşu [TR], Linnet [EN]
is small finch of the family Fringillidae. Its male is colourful and the male has a powder-blue head, a red forehead and a rich reddish-brown back in summer plumage. There is no red parts in females and young. Both of them have white underparts with the breast streaked buff.
C. cannabina prefers hillsides, farmlands, heaths. Breeding occurs in scrub on moorland, heaths and farmland. In winter, it is seen in stubble and weedy fields. It feeds mainly on seeds.
It is found most parts of Europe, western Asia and north Africa. It ranges in all parts of Türkiye permanently except for central parts of Southeast and Eastern Anatolia which it breeds in summer.

The genus Carduelis is represented by six species. These, with exception of C. cannabina, are
** Carduelis chloris – Florya [TR], Greenfinch [EN],
** Carduelis carduelis – Saka [TR], Goldfinch [EN],
** Carduelis spinus – Karabaşlı İskete [TR], Siskin [EN],
** Carduelis flavirostris – Sarıgagalı Ketenkuşu [TR], Twite [EN],
** Carduelis flammea – Huş İsketesi, Kuzey Ketenkuşu [TR], Redpoll [EN].

I like this shot very much, the bright little Linnet looks so right in this environment. Excellent sharpness, beautiful colours and a very fine softly coloured background. The subject is very much in the centre but I expect you wanted to include the thistles.
