Here we are in the heart of the Hoggar mountains. The view goes to infinity. All around peaks, deep throats, expanses of lava stones burnt by the sun.
This is the Hoggar; a great mountainous island in a sand of sea.
From the Assekrem refuge (2600 m), built by the French Club Alpine, placed on the Hoggar mountains we have a wonderful view of the peaks on the south side of the refuge, an amphitheatre of peaks and needles.
With about 30 minutes of walk up we arrive to a large flat land where is the father Charles de Foucauld refuge (2780m).
Charles de Foucauld was a French religious who studied the uses and the language of Tuareg people. He chose to live in this wild and isolated place, full of magic.
With lunar lands, solemn mountains and silence the Assekrem is a place that invites to the meditation and dawns and sunsets are always special.
------
Giallo, ocra, azzurro, oltremare, carminio.
Cielo, Terra, montagne e valli.
Tutto.
Rosa, terra bruciata, viola, nero.

The overlapping of these wonderfully shaped mountains makes a very effective composition. The color is unusual and pleasant. I love the diminution of values as they recede into the distance. I think you could crop out the overexposed clouds as the top and still have a very nice image.
