[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today I tried again to photograph the admiral. It kept coming back to this gravel path in my garden, seemingly to rest. The sun was in and out of the clouds and when it appeared, the butterfly opened its wings, as if to absorb the heat.

Hi Klaudio,
Very clear representation of the upperside of itea. I think a female. The impact of the butterfly in the picture is lessened by the close background, but that is often the case, as I found here.
If you can find one at a reasonable price, I strongly recommend Charles McCubbin's book. It is both informative and beautiful. I think the ISBN is 17 001895 4. Thanks

Hello Klaudio,
Wonderful butterfly with magnificent colors!
Splendid sharpness and very good contrast.
I liked this superior POV.
Very well detailed.
Congratulations and TFS!

Hello Klaudio,
Welcome to TN!
Great capture of an Australian or Yellow Admiral. This shot of a fresh specimen is taken from a fine POV with excellent sharpness, colours and composition and it contrasts well against the gravel BG.
I took a shot of a worn one near Sydney a couple of years back, but I have'nt posted it as it was nowhere near as good as this!
Well done and thanks,
Regards, Ivan
