Beautiful image Adrian, the spiral really takes the eye in and then it tops and keeps me looking through it. The texture and detail are amazing. Great note too. Very well done.

je n'ai pas très bien compris le traducteur et je ne sais toujours pas ce que c'est...mais le motif de l'espece me plait bien...on dirait une certaine d"étoile de mer...belle couleur et bon rendu...amicalement BI

What an unique posting. This is lovely stuff. Remarkabale capture. The details are sharp and the geometric shape gives a pleasant look to the compo. The note supports the picture very well.
Nice perspective on the fungus - is that a ring flash, or a 'roof top' flash that you are using in these pictures. The lighting seems very natural, quite impressive.

Adrian, Good creative shot of nature, well seen. Good sharpness and DOF.
Greetings, Jan
Until reading you note I thought this was the tentacle of some underwater creature ;-))
Beautiful details, sharpness and DOF, great light, that twin flash looks very interesting. Must check out whether it will work with my Tamron..

Nice picture of this very good mushroom.
I know it very well and I collect this type in october in our forest. Of course we must boil it before eating. For me it is one of the best.
But, must be reserved to experimented people. The name in French is: amanite vineuse ou golmote.
Congratulations.

The thumbnail fooled me, I thought it was some sort of anemone. This is great, the "eye" draws one into the halusiating vortex, and I think the image rocks, Adrian!

This one really shows how much a note means - without I would never guess it was a fungus.
Great capture Adrian, wonderful colours, perfect cropping and composition and very clever use of dof to leave the details.

I clicked on the thumbnail to find out what this was ... and I'm glad I did. It's a real pleasure to see something that doesn't have 10 legs, or 8 eyes.
I find your note very informative and interesting. I'm learning new things every day.
Great macro of this disorted fungus. The details are so clear.

I have never seen anything like this before. It looks very abstract, and was a surprise to learn it was a plant and not animal. Very sharp detail and nice composition.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought it must be a starfish(leg). Thanks for the great note.

Adrian, an extremely well taken shot. It seems as though fungi has quite a following here on TN, and I can see why from this shot. I also liked your choice of lens, it is a great compliment to any SLR. I see you also use an "exotic" flash setup- you are really into this. I find your notes truly informative- to me that can be 50% of the photo in some cases. This shot would have impressed me without the notes, but I wouldn't have had a clue as to what it was. (I honestly thought it might be some sort of little sea anemone, or some such- LOL).
Great job,
JJ
