Very good close up shot! And only using that kit-lens! I must say you have done a superb job to get this sharpness and good detail on the body, especially the direct eye contact.

Superb light! And I wonder what magic did you have to get him on the verandah? We went to tropical rainforests and trekked everywhere for hours in search of birds yet could not find them, and here you just wait at your verandah? Truly amazing.

Perhaps I have a comment - the crop of the feet, if you can avoid it please!

Good macro! No, I dont think I can get a shot like this with my D80 kitlens, unless a caged bird.
