hello together, here a picture of etosha elephants. i caught the moment as a group of glossy starlings flew in front of my camera. unfortunately i could not avoid the back of the zebra on the bottom.

here a little note about etosha:
Etosha was first established in 1907, when Namibia was a German colony known as South West Africa. At the time, the park’s original 100,000 km² (38,500 mile²) made it the largest game reserve in the world. Due to political changes since its original establishment, the park is now slightly less than a quarter of its original area, but still remains a very large and significant area in which wildlife is protected.

Very impressive shot of the elephants but really equally impressive to see the birds flying about here.

The color of the bird contrasts very well with the elephant skin tone.

The fact of the most attractive element in this capture is the fine moment you have chosen to click this cluster of activities showing so much to see in just a picture.

Hallo Catia
This is an exceptional shot. Two for the price of one. The colour of the Starklings stands out well and brightens the scenery and makes it livelier. It also seems as if the elephants are not at all disturbed by this "blue wave" that suddenly came between them. This must have been a lovely sight to experience and photograph. I just love the little one feeding on its mom while this all is taking place, no cares in the world. Great capture of this unexpected surprise for you. Thanks for sharing and all the best for 2009.
