Nice shot. I made the same upon a time and it is soo hard..Black birds, with sparkly water, and even 1/800 not fast enough to freeze all the action

very well done, maybe lighten their eyes a bit to make the image more sparkling, they have such nice ruby colored eyes

I notice this behaviour here with the American Coot.
I wonder if it is where the expression "as mad as a wet hen" comes from.LOL

Hi Christophe,

This is a great glimpse of the behaviour of Eurasian Coots. Good colours and action. Great water! I imagine that our American Coots behave similarly, but all I've ever seen is just a bunch of splashes. I've never been close enough to get a good photo. Your shot is not entirely clear, but that's understandable. I took similar shots of two male Red-winged Blackbirds fighting, but I never posted them because they weren't clear. I think that you're doing the right thing by letting us see the behaviour, even though the photo could be a bit better. TFS.
