Seems that those shells in a black background are very popular these days in Treknature. This one is a real delight, Ulla. Taken skilfully with the awesome G9. Bravo! Superb composition, colors and detail. F/7.1 create a superb depth of field.

Dr Mehmet, our in-house expert on shells, would certainly sit up on looking at this picture of a shell you collected in Goa, Ulla.
It is a beautiful presentation you created with your compact camera in macro mode.
The ventral side of it in your work shop is equally fascinating.
If I'm not terribly off the mark, this is your first shell presentation and it is a winner.
