Hello old friends...it has been a long time. I am still bound to a wheelchair, electric. Many months of the year I am trapped inside of my place in snow and no nature pictures to take.. hence my long absences, but I do miss you all..

Another thing seems to be back this year.. here in Cheney, Washington, as I rode my chair to the public areas, I came across quite a number of honey bees. We were all worried about them as they had been absent themselves and now in the last two years seem to be appearing once more.

This my friends is a honey bee. I am sure you have seen plenty and much better quality. I am doomed to be as far away as possible by my wheelchair and the heavy dirt laden ground so I depend on a rather inexpensive lens and my steady hands...as best as I could... and may you all my friends... BE BLESSED! with Good Health.

Ciao vecchi amici ...

Hi Bob,

The flowers are framing well the bee. The close-up point of view is showing with precision the details and colors of the bee. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Bob,
I was just thinking about you the other day. I was up near the Lake in Mentor and picked up a news paper to bring home. I started to wonder if the Sun was still in business, because I remember you used to do articles for it years ago.
I must say it's nice to see a photo from you once again. I'm not sure which is prettier though, the bee or the beautiful blooms. Love the bright vivid purplish flowers with their tiny green centers.
I remember a few years ago when the bee population here in Ohio hit an all time low due to the mite problem. You could hardly find a bee in my yard, which is filled with White Clover flowers. I'm glad to report they seem to be in good numbers once again, and you wouldn't want to walk barefoot in my yard now-a-days.
