It is quite obvious that this Grosbeak is enjoying its meal of ripe berries, Michel. Very charming image of the bird looking happy and relaxed.
The use of tripod does make a difference in terms of the overall quality of a picture.

Very neat image, I have never seen one of these little beauties in the wild.
Your right, they do seem to be messy eaters, kind of reminds me of my grandchildren:) Love the super fine detail and beautiful colors. Excellent lighting and you even managed to capture a little twinkle in it's eye. Well done!!
