I'm glad you decided to follow up on your tip that this beautiful owl was in your neighborhood. This is a great shot and definitely shows us how attractive the Great Gray Owl really is.
Love the slate bluish gray colors and unique pattern in it's plumage. Good eye contact and just the right exposure. Well done!!

Hope you are pulling along well, man and life is good. This is indeed a majestic bird, quite huge and impressive. You are lucky to have it. These owls always remind me of a famous British photographer, a specialist, Mr.Eric Hosking who in fact lost an eye because of these superb predators.This species has wonderful eyes like the eyes of all the species of owls.
