Larus michahellis feeding their chickens. I have noticed that older chickens are hidden in the bushes near the cliffs, out of the nest. Wait for their parents to return with food. When they appear, come out of hiding and are primed.
The Cies Islands are the largest breeding colony of Larus michahellis in the Iberian Peninsula.
Larus michahellis alimentando a sus pollos. He observado que cuando los pollos tienen cierta edad, se ocultan entre los matorrales cercanos a los acantilados, fuera del nido. Esperan a que sus progenitores vuelvan con comida. Cuando aparecen, salen de su escondite y son cebados.
Las Islas Cies son la mayor colonia de cría de Larus michahellis en la Península Ibérica. |
