[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I photographed this Crowned Plover while on Safari in Tarangire National Park in Tanzania. Prior to this meeting the only type of plover I had seen was the Killdeer.

These colorful plovers prefer short dry grasslands and are particularly fond of termites as a food source.

Ciao Ron, great capture of lovely Crowned Plver in nice pose, wonderful natural colors, splendid sharpness and fine details, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

A good looking species of Plover, Ron.
At first glance, it struck me as a Lapwing.
Its head is really ornate to earn that name. The red legs are amazing.
Excellent POV and a pin sharp image.

Hello Ron

A real beauty, Ron! Excellent capture!

WE have here the Common Ringed Plover (Charadrius hiaticula), some of which winter in Israel, while other just pass.

Have a pleasant weekend,

Hello Ron,
Two Lapwing specie on this page....Very nice and colorful specie. I meet only the European Lapwing which is preparing for the great migration to Africa....

Hello Ron,
I have also captured this Crowned Olive, but still not posted :-(
Quite well captured. This isn't such bird that you will get good details and DOF. So it's a good work, just legs look bit reddish. I like BG light here.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice Week,

Hi Ron,
Again a beautiful shot from your safari set. Excellent exposure as the bird's right side's in shade due to the backlight, however, all details are well visible, no blown out spots. I love your white balance here also! Great colors and spectacular shallow DoF to mention more of the great attributions of this gorgeous photo, however, it must be seen in one. Excellent!
Kind regards from Ireland, László
