I agree with Peter that a closer cropping would improve this photo.
It's a very beautiful and litle Lycaenidae and it's rare in Portugal.

Hi Malgosia,
that noble looking male of a rare and endangered species looks very good in the strong sunlight of midsummer against a distant background of lush green vegetation.
You have presented a well balanced composition. But if resolution and sharpness of the original image are good enough, a closer cropping would be recommendable, as many of us may be curious to see that pretty little butterfly in a larger size close-up.

Wonderful Malgosia! Why? Cause colours are perfect here! Besides, your bg colour was changed and this mixing bg is just perfect! But most important one for me, you're so far from the subject! (despite not suit for macro)But result is incredible. I thought that you're so smart Malgosia! This one is the best one in your gallery! I like it a lot. It looks like a painting!

you have shown this picture really well, even though the butterfly is 10% of your frame it looks excellent. I like the composition and the colors.
BTW you have proved that a close shot of a butterfly is not necessary for a good photograph, this is an example for all who dont have Macro lens and still want to shoot butterflies! on how to do it, great!!!

An unusual approach to a Butterfly shot, I think most people (including me) would want to get really close. This is great, it works really well. Excellent detail, DOF is perfect and those colours in the background make the composition really work. Excellent framing/composition, great shot!
