I have never seen a curculionidae with such beautiful colours.
I like very much the POV, and you got the focus just in the right place. The DOF a bit short for my personal taste, but it is a prety photo, I like it!

excellent shot head-on on the snout of the snout beetle.
these funny-looking bugs are really cool
and they seem to come in different colors -
beautiful blue on this one.
good composition with very nice details.

Hi Malgosia,
He looks as if he is looking at you. Ultra shallow DOF gives an interesting effect, excellent exposure and the central composition works well. An interesting colour he has as well. Nice shot.

Hi Malgosia. Great shot of this weevil. I encountered one myself recently and I do like their colour. I know from trying to shoot it myself how difficult it is to get it fully within DOF front to back when it is facing you head-on. I think you did great with your f22. Did you use a tripod to achieve that? Beautiful shot, very nicely done :)
