[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This specie is called Anaphaeis aurota (Pieridae family). it is not native to Israel but sometimes adults migrate from Africa and breed here untill the winter comes and they all die of cold. the photographed specimen is a female, the male is smaller and brighter. this female was photographed basking on warm sun light at the beginning of the day before activity take place. this specie is sometimes over populating and the results are millions of adults flying around. this case was viewd in Kenya and Saudi Arabia. in Israel they can reach good numbers too but in much lesser numbers.

Bonjour Oz,
Magnifique photo !
De beaux détails. Le papillon est bien mis en valeur par le fond diffus.

Bonjour Oz!

Bravo pour cette éclatante composition. Les couleurs sont superbes et le papillon ressort bien dans cet environnement.

Hi Oz,
very well composed picture. Clear and sharp details of the butterfly. Blurred bg is also a +.

Hello Oz!
Amazing shot but the exposure time is unbelively! 30 seconds???
It's probably dead butterfly ;-D
It's not possible to get live insect unmoved for 30 seconds...
