[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Sphecidae specie was one of my most annoying insects to capture. it just won't stay still. I had to wait in mud for more than an hour until he let me take only two shots. luckily the second shot turned good enough. This wasp is using live insects as its larval host. its stings the insects and paralize them. then it lay one egg on the paralized insect body and bury it underground where the larva can develope on the poor victim.

Ricardo

Shalom Oz... a beautiful macro for your return after enough time.
I like the point of view and the chosen framing, with intense colors and accurate focus and sharpness.
The out of focus of the bottom generates that the image of the insect takeoff creating a sensation of depth very appropriate.
A cordial greeting from Buenos Aires... Ricardo

Hello again Oz!
As I see I overlooked not only Curculionidae picture but... your gallery!
Another great entomological presentation. Lovely details (my favourite part - wasp's eyes!), colours and sharpness! And like in case of Curculionidae where it was not easy to take picture because of its size - here not only a size but also because of speed of this insect - my best congratulations!
I am sure that I'll be back here soon :>
