Many other genera occur in the Philippines, and they range in size from under 10cm to several meters in height. Gorgonians differ from soft corals in having a solid , rod like central core consisting of a horny material called gorgonin. Sea fans have strong , flexible stems that branch profusely, usually in one plane, to form a delicate meshwork. They do not have zooxanthellae in their tissues and so need to maximise the chances of planktonic food passing close to the polyps. Thus they are found in situations with some water movement, where they align themselves at right angles to the current flow.

Excellent idea colors and composition.
There is a lack of sharpness on the overall pic, with some area more blur. Maybe something on the lens.
The man behind would have been nicer if much bigger and facing you. Or a big fish but that is a real challenge. The pic without the man could have been a nice option too.

Very nice and original (natural) composition. On the other hand it is a pitty that you did not used some noice reduction (especially needed in underwater photography :>).
Anyway, bravo for interesting presentation!
