|This hippo likes to yawn, like most other hippos. But at the end of the giant yawn he/she would do a belly roll sticking all 4 feet and pink belly up in the air! It was a sight to see, I might post the photo of the under-belly next, but I thought I'd better post this one first so that you'd know what is going on. I haven't seen other hippos doing the yawn/roll combo before, it was hilarious.|

Hello Steve, good shot of the hippo yawning! What big mouths they have. And such strange shaped teeth too.
I like how you have kept all its reflection in teh water too,
Thank you for sharing
I can imagine that that must have been entertaining! I don't think I've been quite this far into a hippo's mouth before. It is a nice sharp image.

This is the animal responsible for most deaths as far as wild animal attacks on humans are concerned, here in Africa. It must be a terrifying moment when a person sees this picture and you know that monster is on its way to bite you. The yawn/roll you refer to must have been amazing to witness. I've never heard or seen anything like that before and trust me, the last 7 months I've watched a lot of National Geographic and Discovery TV. You got good focus on the mouth with only a minor nit of slight over exposure on small areas inside the mouth. Thanks for showing.
