Hello Tom,
Good action shot of this sow and her young piglets.
They often run with their tails in the air. This sounder shows this very well. We can also see that they are fast runners and capable jumpers.
Informative wildlife photo.

Hi Tom.
Very expressive and really wild natural scene. You have pictured a nice animal family perfectly. All is great. Timing and sharpness, lovely colours and framing/cropping. DOF is selected precisely too. Well done and TFS.

Great shot of these Warthogs Tom.
I think I would have cropped it just behind the legs of the disappearing one in front to improve the xcomposition.
In all other respects it is a very good image.
Nice and sharp and well exposed.
You've captured the action well.

I am sitting here with a warthog ( a beer ) and since it is almost all finished ( abt 1/3 left ) I thought I would add my two cents worth here...
I like this shot with one exception... Just like with my beer I don't like small leftovers... In this case the chopped off piglet. Might I suggest that the photo can be presented without the hindquarter... ;)
Otherwise I feel it is a great action shot.
See workshop for an idea on alternative.

Hello Tom !
I love to see boars and other "wild pigs" on pictures, but unfortunately there are not so many of them on TN. So I'm happy I have found this one. It's a fantastic picture. You have frozen the Warthogs with excellent details, even the tiny hairs are sharp. I also like the very natural colors, the composition, the POV. The rear end of one piglet, on the left side, looks funny, I like it ! Very well done !
Valérie.

Dear Tom,
I came to your portfolio, because on my last holiday in the escarpment I encountered Wild Pigs and started to wonder, how many Warthog photos are actually of Wild Pigs?!?
Yours have the tail up while running, which the Pigs in Crystal Springs did not do. But on the other hand - may be they cross breed - and may be the warts become smaller, disappear?!?
I like very much the tight cropping of your photo and the half body on the left communicating the rush to cross the path! The front feet off the ground of the next piglet is a great moment to capture!
Obviusly you were there before the summer rains, the veld looks quite dry with the exception of the green patches along the path.
Have a nice evening
Kind regards
Ingrid
PS you are very polite about the workshop job
