[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
First we only saw a Zebra herd running away in panic after crossing a very small dry river with bushes. When we approached we found this lioness killing the Zebra. It took about 5 minutes for the lion to kill the Zebra by biting the throat until suffocation.
The lioness then, after a short rest of about 5 minutes, started to eat the hindquarters and opened both stifles.
Only after about 30 minutes she had enough eaten and trolled away leaving the zebra for other scavengers.

Wow, how can I missed that fluoresced RED colors here, Tom?! Wonderful, bloody scene.... I mean wonderfully natural indeed! Incredible! Perfect point of view, superb colors,/detail and dynamism! The circle of life is finally complete!

A good close up of the subject. What a scene. The composition is liked as it enables much detail to be shown and the dramatic indication with all the blood is great. Your sharpness, detail, POV and DOF are all good in the image.
