[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This herd of Zebras came to Mara River to drink but did not cross. On the other side of the river some hundred Gnus were waiting to find the good moment to cross, unfortunately, as so many Mara visitors we never saw them crossing. Sometimes you have to wait for hours before the first animal has the courage to jump and cross. But very honestly I did not have the courage to wait there for hours simply because there were more cars than Zebras and Gnus on the river bank, a bit like on a big parking in front of a supermarket...

You definitely must be one of the luckiest people around Tom, witnessing scenes like this one on the bank of the legendary Mara river! Wonderful and well documented story! Bravo!

Hi Tom,
this is an extraordinary view of so interesting animals like Zebras. Very good point of view. Perfect sharpness.
Thanks for sharing.

hello Tom

excellent photo of this herd of Zebras
with the panorama framing, great focus
sharpness and details to all the Zebras,

Hi Tom - a great capture of the entire herd. Well its painful to see so many cars line up. I hope you have captured some good moments for us to see. TFS

Hello Tom
Impressive photo with excellent composition and wonderful colours.

Hi Tom,
Crossing the river or not its still an interesting image. The stripes on the zebras really are confusing. I like your intersting notes. Well done.

Hallo Tom
A big herd of zebras like in your image are always beautiful to witness, and as Denis said in his note, crossing or not it remains an interesting scenery. The black and white markings are clearly visible eventhough your image was taken from afar. I know the feeling one get when there is more cars than animals and nobody want to move or let one pass, especially at a lion or leopard kill. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hi Tom,

The zebras are well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the group of zebras at the river. The morning light is bringing out the colors. have a nice day.
