The Cabbage White (Pieris brassicae) is a lepidopteran insect of the family Pieridae of the subfamily and genus Pieris Pierinae. It is a migratory flight powerful and fast.
Eggs that resemble a sort of miniature lemon are laid in groups unlike other Pieris and time of incubation of 4 to 10 days. Caterpillars, green yellow and covered with black dots and streaks, hungry and living in groups, are present from April to November on wild and cultivated Brassicaceae. The butterfly is present from March to November in two to four generations
