Perfect capture, Tom.

Tom, really, is a shocking picture. It is incredible the focus on the plumage of this owl. The use of the zoom is perfect. We can see when comparing the patterns of shapes and colors that looks this raptor with those of the trunk where it lies and ensure that if the bird closed the eyes would look like a large broken branch and would go completely unnoticed for prey and enemies. A great job. My admiration. A big hug for you and a happy weekend !!!!

Hello Tom,
What an awesome owl image showing incredible detail and beautiful color tones. If it didn't have its bright yellow eyes open it would be hard to even see, it blends in perfectly with the bark of the branch. Great use of flash!!

Exceptionally sharp image of this Owl on a tree captured with fill flash, Tom.
The eyes in particular are well captured.

Hi Tom,not easy to comment a perfection like that, fantastic capture of this owl in a perfect pose and quality,2 points are not enough, very well done! Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hello Tom,
Beautiful picture of this Eurasian Scoop Owl. Very good DOF and details. Beautiful eyes! Exposure looks nice. Don't know why didn't it give you a different angle where you could find just dark BG; no tree parts just behind its head! IMHO, picture would have been more eye catching.
Thanks for sharing your work,
Regards and have a nice Week,
