This picture is dedicated to my friend Gert - man who loves butterflies, but live in wrong place to photograph them ;-) According to him, this summer all butterflies from Sweden went to Poland magnetized by my iron will ;-) And my poor friend couldn't take as many photos of these flying gems as he wanted. Don't worry Gert, I hope next summer there will be enough butterflies for both our countries!

Why rarest, you may ask, after all this is probably Meadow Brown (Maniola Jurtina), one of most common butterflies? You are right! But try to capture these butterflies with opened wings! I tried loooong time, 99/100 times I had to photograph these insects from side view. But finally I took photo with opened wings - so this one is special for me. I had to go to Bulgaria to take this one ;-)

I hope Gert and rest of my TN friends will enjoy this shot!

[Don't ask me why f8 - I don't know. Probably it left after previous shot and I hadn't time to change it. This is my only picture of Meadow Brown with opened wings].

Great open-wing shot Greg. I know how difficult it can be to get them to relax..
Maybe you should talk to them softly & put on some BG mood music. :-)) Well done & Thank you my friend.

Grzegorz, I have the feeling the shot could be a little bit sharper, but I'm not tha sure about it.

Apart from that, a very nice shot.

I like pov and composition. F/8 is okay to me.
