[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
"Cistanche Tubulosa" is apparently also referred to "Desert Broomrape" or "Desert Hyacinth". I udnerstand it is quite a rare plant and so it was quite exciting finding so many thriving by the roadside in Kuwait. As in all countries, roadside verges offer relatively undisturbed habitats for fauna and wildlife. Sadly the area where this picture was taken was strewn with litter courtesy of the nearby desert camping activities which are a Kuwaiti national pastime in the winter months.

This isn't a brilliant picture I know as I'm still at the very bottom of the photography learning curve, but I am quite pleased with the result although it would have been nicer if I'd have photgraphed the subject a few days earlier when it was fully in bloom.

Greetings! Maybe the photo isn't the best you ever taken, but you found a rare plant. That says more that taking a great photo. You have a piece of nature that has not been seen by many other people. It's special. Thanks for sharing, Janice
