[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

I would think this one is the six-banded armadillo - le tatou ŕ six bandes - Euphractus sexcinctus.

More information Here

We grabbed it. We took him into the shade of the jeep for a homogeneous light. We took a few shots and released him. He walked away and disappeared in the grass. I cropped the pic so that the hand holding his neck would not be on (otherwise I would I like to keep more of the shoulders on the pic). Contrast enhanced in Paint-Shop-Pro.

Thanks for looking J

Hi JeanMarie,
An excellent tight crop on this Armadillo shot. I really like shots that are composed like this. Great clarity and sharp detail. Well done.

Great portrait!! Very nice colours sharpness and POV.

Well done!!

Magnifiques détails.
Bonne journée.

Bonjour JeanMarie!
A very detailed portrait, wich let us apreciate the "skin" of the armadillo, and why their name comes from. You got an adecuate overall illumination for this cropped compo.

Hello JeanMarie
Very well done. I think the tight crop makes for an excellent portrait. Don't think I have seen a picture of the armadillo quite this detailed. Regards.

Excellent close up my friend with sharpness and details.

I like it a lot: composition, POV, DOF, focus, sharpness, color, lighting, background, framing.

I like it: frame (personally I would like another color), notes (you forgot to include the values of the capture).

I don't like it: nothing.

Very interesting presentation and great note composition! ;-)
Regards... Ricardo

Wonderful close crop. Excellent details and a great POV

Hola JeanMarie,
Un espectacular primer plano de la cabeza de este armadillo, algo que no es tan facil de hacer por estar esta tan cerca del piso y no ser muy fotogénica. Los detalles que se pueden apreciar son excelentes.

Excellent POV JeanMarie! Very creatively done! This has got to be the most interesting armadillo picture I've every seen.

Thany you!

ps I'll have to remember the technique you used here. Armadillos are not that easy to catch. I have caught one once long ago. Possums are much easier to catch...;-)

Wow, Jean Marie.
That is a serious close-up. : )
You can see every whisker!
I have never seen an armadillo so up close and personal.
Very interesting meeting.
TFS. : )

Hello Jean-Marie, this is a very intimate view. Good composition and good focus. He has a very sad look about him! Well done

Hi JeanMatio.
What a nice close-up portrait of this cute and unknown for me animal. I like everything at your picture: excellent diagonal composition, perfect sharpness and details. soft impressive lighting and really true delicate colours. Superb done and TFS.
