Wow what a difference from when I was there. I guess some water is still flowing underneath all of that ice. It's a great shot.
I'm glad you posted it. I like the right side with the rusty tree and the nice ice formations.

That's alot of white, I think perhaps "wintry" is almost an understatement :)
Well exposed and well composed, great shot of the ice-bound falls mf.
Well done & TFS.
A very nice capture of this frozen waterfall.I like the aqua blue in the ice, which is a result of oxygen trapped in the ice.Nicely composed in the frame.I guess it won't be too much longer before the melt, and it will be cascading down again.TFS

A very wintery feeling to this fine image!
Colours are muted almost black and white, but that is what winder is like on cloudy days...
White textures are well captured, good details all over!
HEY!!! U is back! Brrrrrrrrr, I just shivered looking into these falls! What a stark winter scene! Nicely presented.
I like the bush contrasted agaist all that ice. Tfs. J.
An excellent winter landscape composition. To freeze that waterfall it would have to be really cold. Good job keeping nice color and detail across the tonal range. well done
Félicitation pour cette belle présentation avec ce ruisseau tout frimassée et cristalisé,les couleurs et les détails sont très bien réussis.
Merci et au revoir...JP

impressively thick layers of ice, and giant icicles make this waterfall a fairy tale landscape of strange beauty. I like to see the faint hues of turquouis blue in the ice in this almost strictly black and white picture. How glorious this might even look in bright sunshine! You seem to enjoy a cold but beautiful vacation there.
With thanks from Vienna that seems to have been avoided by winter this year. Some flowers of spring are showing already.

How wonderful to see the same fall Evelynn, Mike and I posted last year but this time during a different season and in a completely different state. It's great to see that the water flow has been small before it forze over, because I can see the diagonal rock that normally is covered with water. Excellent exposure with great colors and details.

Excelente punto de vista Otto para captar tan agradable imagen con un encuadre acorde y buen foco.
Tal vez el balance de blancos no es el ideal, pero la composición realmente es muy estética.
Un cordial saludo desde Buenos Aires... Ricardo
Excellent point of view Otto to capture so pleasant image with an framing in agreement and good focus.
Perhaps the white balance is not the ideal, but the composition is really very aesthetic.
A cordial greeting from Buenos Aires... Ricardo

what a wonderful place to visit in the winter. The ice and snow are great (I'm a lover of cold weather not hot)...
I really like the picture you posted on TL, it shows quite a bit more of the falls which for me not knowing the area is a bonus.

Interesante compo. Esto es algo que nunca verè en el lugar en donde vivo. Tu cuadro es muy hermoso y con muchos detalles en sus extrañas formaciones.

Good to see you here as well.A wonderful wintery scene.I think without the tree for scale you could easily imagine this as a glacier scene from South America.I like the blue tinge to the snow...makes it feel somewhat colder.Good detail and contrast.
Wow, that's cool, Otto. I have to get up there while it's still frozen. Nicely composed shot but I might opt for a bit more context as in just a bit wider. I'd like a little more light from the sun to bring out some of the blue and white a bit better, but that's not your fault.
Wow, this looks cold, otto! :-)
a frozen waterfall, never really seen something
like this before.
impressive shot - hope you will show us the summer version as well.
great job & take care, thorsten.
Hello, Otto. It's hard to believe that people will be swimming there in a few months. You pegged the color balance on this one pretty well.
