This assault was doomed to fail. This kestrel is too young and doesn't know the hunting techniques yet. Pursuing birds in flight is hopeless. He should fall from the sky instead and seize the prey before it sees him. He'll learn.

I don't mind the starlings to be blurred. With this lens it would have been difficult to include them in the DOF. Anyway it drives attention to the main subject: the falcon. Also their shape is enough to let their fear show.
