the lion's decision was not to risk any injury and at the last second he aborted the kill, now it is the Gnu which is chasing the lion away.
For those disappointed tomorrow there will be blood, different scene, different lion.

both animals are superbly focused with great sharpness details,
Hm...someone went hungry that day, or perhaps the lioness was not that hungry at all, and I believe, you left that war zone a bit disappointed as well Tom! Never the less, you have been witness of a dramatic scene, and that is what matter! Interesting, ... bravo!
